About Jay
Jay enters real estate as a second career, driven by a passion for helping others achieve one of life's most meaningful milestones-homeownership. After enjoying the benefits and stability that come with owning a home for many years, he felt called to guide others toward that same opportunity.
"I wanted a second career where I could help people experience the dream of homeownership that I've been privileged to enjoy for many years," said Fletcher. "Real estate allows me to build lasting relationships while embracing the entrepreneurial spirit that comes with helping clients navigate such an important moment in their lives."
He was also drawn to Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices for its strong reputation and collaborative culture. "This is an amazing team," Jay shared. Before transitioning to real estate, he built a distinguished career in the energy industry. As a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), he developed strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills that translate seamlessly into guiding clients through the complexities of a real estate transaction.
Jay leads his business with a foundation of honesty, integrity, and trust. He believes that clients deserve transparency and thoughtful guidance throughout the buying or selling process.
"Trust is the most important element in any transaction," Jay said. "If you choose to work with me, I will always tell you the truth-even when it's difficult. I believe no one should enter the single largest transaction of their lifetime without clear and honest advice."
Deeply committed to his community, Jay served for 16 years on the Board of Education in Cromwell, Connecticut and spent three years as a member of the Board of Directors for Adelbrook. He also volunteers annually at the Travelers Championship, an experience he considers one of the highlights of his year.
Outside of real estate, he enjoys golfing, traveling, and spending time with his family. He and his wife have been married for 31 years and are proud parents of three children. In his downtime, he embraces his love for gaming and storytelling, including video games and tabletop role-playing adventures like Dungeons & Dragons.
With a strong background in leadership, project management, and community service, Jay brings a thoughtful and values-driven approach to helping clients make confident real estate decisions.
